Your Comfort is Our Greatest Concern
We believe a dental appointment can be a positive experience. We treat
you as we would like to be treated, with dignity and respect. Extra
precautions are taken to make sure you are comfortable. We take time to
get to know you; tailoring our treatment and its pace to your needs.
The following are some suggestions for before and during your dental visit:
- It is best to set aside a stress-free time for your dental visit; a time when you won't feel rushed, physically strained, or troubled by other concerns.
- If it would be reassuring, ask a close friend or family member who has a positive attitude toward dental care to accompany you.
- Get a good night’s sleep, eat a light breakfast, and wear loose
comfortable clothes on
the day of your appointment. - We have a MP3, CD and tape player with a broad collection of musical selections. You may also listen to the radio or bring your CD’s or i-Pod.
- The day of your appointment do not take vitamin C. This vitamin
inhibits the effectiveness
of Novocain. If you take vitamin C after your appointment, it may help the numbness disappear faster. - We have nitrous oxide gas and Novocain for your comfort during any dental procedure. For persistent discomfort, a pain reliever can be prescribed.
- You will be informed of your treatment options and we will explain the steps of our examination and the procedures to be performed.
- During any dental procedure, feel free to raise your hand as a signal for us to stop.
- Focusing on music or a favorite activity will add greatly to your comfort.
